The John Lab is now hiring!

The John Lab at the University of South Carolina is seeking graduate students at both the Masters and PhD level. Our research focuses on marine trace-metal chemistry, with the goal of discovering how metals influence global biogeochemical cycles and support life in the ocean. Current areas of research include the measurement of trace-element stable isotopes in seawater and marine particles, the biological and electrochemical fractionation of metal isotopes, and virus-metal interactions in the oceans.

Applicants should have a strong academic record in chemistry, biology, or environmental science, and a demonstrated ability to perform independent laboratory research.
